Your words, honest randomness

Password Generator Using My Words

Combine 2–8 words you choose, optionally shuffle them, and add a fresh cryptographically random tail.

Build a password from your own words

Enter non-secret words separated by spaces. The generator treats every word as known to an attacker and credits only the random tail.

Do not paste an existing password, recovery phrase, or secret. Personal words are predictable. Add a substantial random tail and save the result in a password manager.
Enter 2–8 non-secret words. Each word may contain 2–24 letters.
12
Zero is available for compatibility, but 12 or more adds materially stronger independent randomness.

Enter your words, then generate.

Your words stay in this tabInput and generated values are not sent to our server or stored by this tool.

How to generate a password using your own words

Enter two to eight non-secret words, choose their format, and select how many fresh random characters to append. Each click creates new variations locally with the Web Crypto API.

Are passwords made from my words secure?

Your words alone may be easy to predict—even if you capitalize, rearrange, or separate them. This generator assumes the words and formatting are known and measures only its independently random characters. Twelve random characters from the full set is a practical starting point; use more when the destination allows it.

What does shuffling the words do?

Shuffling creates different layouts, but the tool does not claim extra entropy for that choice. If an attacker already knows your words, trying their possible orders is inexpensive compared with guessing a long random tail.

Can I generate a password from a phrase?

Yes. Enter the significant words from the phrase separated by spaces, then choose whether to keep or shuffle their order. Do not enter a current password, seed phrase, recovery code, or sensitive quotation.

My words versus random words

This page preserves words you provide. For a stronger memorable method in which every word is selected independently from a documented 7,776-word list, use the random passphrase generator. For a fully random credential stored in a manager, use the standard password generator.
