What counts as a printable ASCII password?
The default alphabet contains the 94 printable characters from decimal code 33 (!) through code 126 (~). Enabling space adds code 32 and creates a 95-character alphabet.
Each generated position is selected independently with browser cryptography. The displayed decimal and hexadecimal values are alternative representations of the same password; they do not encrypt or protect it.
ASCII and UTF-8 compatibility
Every ASCII character has the same numeric value in UTF-8 and occupies one byte. UTF-8 also supports a much larger Unicode repertoire, which this tool intentionally does not generate. Unicode passwords can introduce normalization, keyboard, and cross-system compatibility differences.
Check the destination before saving
Some systems reject quotes, backslashes, spaces, or selected punctuation. Exclude only the characters documented as incompatible, generate a fresh value, and confirm that the destination preserves every character. If a service accepts only letters and numbers, use the alphanumeric password generator.
